Sustainable Production Grant (SPG)

A second window for the Sustainable Production Grant (Wales) is currently open with the application window closing on the 12th of April.

The grant scheme offers 40% funding for covered slurry storage and management equipment.  The grant value is £12,000 – £50,000.  Anyone who wishes to apply must have attended a Sustainable Farming Roadshow, arranged by Farming Connect.

The SPG will provide support where the investment exceeds compliance with slurry storage regulations, achieving a minimum storage capacity of 160 days regardless of any existing on-farm storage.
In addition to provision of storage, the grant application also supports roofing dirty yards and tanks and spreading equipment.  A full list of eligible items can be found at:

Farmers who were successful in the last EOI window have until the 8th of June to supply the following additional information;

• 5 Year Business Plan
• Core Criteria Statement
• Nutrient Efficiency Plan
• Water Efficiency Plan
• 3 quotes for each investment item selected on the EOI
• 3 Years of Certified Accounts
• Planning Permission if appropriate
