The Andover office of the Farm Consultancy Group (FCG) specialise in the provision of agricultural and rural business consultancy to a wide range of farmers and landowners in the South East and the Home Counties.
Detailed consultancy advice to dairy and livestock farmers in both the conventional and organic sector is a key element of our work. We tailor our advice to the needs of our clients’ businesses from strategic business planning to technical advice on grassland and forages. Our services include specific advice on all aspects of dairying, beef and sheep farmers as well as advising farming businesses seeking to diversify their income streams. We specialise in the management and conversion of farms to organic standards; and the preparation and evaluation of applications for environmental grants.
We run various discussion groups where annual benchmarking is a key element to ensure that our advice remains focused on the needs of these businesses. In addition to our consultancy service we run buying groups on behalf of both our conventional and organic clients.
The Andover office was formed in January 2009 by the merger of William Waterfield’s and Chris White’s businesses this brought together two of the regions most experienced dairy and business consultants into a new practice in the Andover office. Chris Coxon joined the team in 2013 to help with providing advice to our dairy clients.
We undertake bespoke work including the preparation of rent tenders and have an enviable record in the preparation and submission of proposals for capital grants and we provide advice to milk producer groups.
The three consultants are supported by three members of staff who ensure that the office is able to able to provide and administer the buying groups.
