Countryside Productivity Grant and LEADER

Countryside Productivity Grants: For investments costing more than £87,500:

• water resource management and reservoirs – closes 29th June 2018
• improving forestry productivity – closes 3rd April 2018
• adding value to Agri-food – closes 29th June 2018
• improving farm productivity – closes 3rd December 2018

The government has guaranteed funding for RDPE Countryside Productivity Scheme grants if these are agreed and signed before the UK’s departure from the EU, even if the grant agreements continue after we have left the EU.  This is subject to projects meeting the following conditions when the application is assessed:  they are good value for money and they are in line with domestic strategic priorities.  More details for each scheme is available on the RPA website.

• Small grants scheme – closed 15th March 2018

Some people are finding it difficult to source the items requested on the on-line application due to high demand.  If you are having problems, then involve your local RPA office as soon as possible to explain how you are affected and assess what your options are.  Doing nothing will result in losing all the funding requested, not just on the items you are unable to source.

LEADER Funding

This is still available for some projects costing more than £12,500 in some areas.  Each application is assessed on its own merits, and a quick chat to the local LEADER administrators can confirm if an application is acceptable, subject to the paperwork being supplied correctly.

To further discuss grant funding, please contact Rachel at rachelreed@fcgagric.com or your local FCG office.
